Leading with Presence: New Program Announcement
I started in leadership development back when emotional intelligence and servant leadership came on the scene. I taught undergrad leaders from the original James Kouzes and Barry Posner Leadership Challenge book. We all survived Y2K, yet we would suffer through the fashion of low-rise, bootcut jeans paired with baby tees. Not all have aged well since my graduate school years.
What’s been steady, though these years, has been my commitment to helping leaders navigate careers and organizations that were never built for folks who look and lead like them.
I’m launching a new cohort-based program, Leading with Presence, designed for organizations ready to support their leaders in showing up fully so that they can reclaim agency and cultivate leadership that lasts, for themselves and for the people and systems they lead.
Here’s the foundation of what I’ve learned over these decades of research, teaching, and leading: Authentic, embodied leadership isn’t about titles, trends, or fitting into someone else’s system. It’s about presence, agency, and showing up in spaces that weren’t designed for you, ready to transform organizational culture with strategic practices, policies, and programs that support wellbeing, communication, and impact.
Leadership is about how we inhabit our bodies, emotions, and soul work as much, if not more, than how we use our big, beautiful brains.
As the days shorten and the season turns inward, I’m reminded that presence begins in the body, not your calendar or task list. Small, intentional practices paired with a growth-oriented cohort can shift your leadership from reactive to reflective, from performance to purpose, and from hustle to aligned action.

Leading with Presence is a unique internal cohort program designed specifically for organizations that want stronger, steadier, more human-centered leadership across teams. As I like to say in my organizational work, I get in the messy middle of leadership with you - and now I do it with cohorts of leaders!

Cohort-based workshops for leaders to build shared language, skills, and relational capacity
1:1 executive coaching where each leader integrates the work into their role, challenges, and context
Embodied resilience practices to expand leaders’ capacity during stress rather than collapse under it
Practical tools for presence-based communication, boundaries, and strategic action
It is designed for organizations ready to move beyond short-term training and invest in leadership transformation that lasts.
